Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GreenLight Gardens website and your purchase of build plans, licensing, and on-site build services from GreenLight Gardens ("we," "us," "our"). GreenLight Gardens is a sole proprietorship doing business under the name GreenLight Gardens. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
GreenLight Gardens currently offers:
- Build plans — digital technical drawings and instructions for building a Compact Agrivoltaics System (CAVS) unit yourself.
- Manufacturing & curriculum licensing — rights to build, sell, or teach using our CAVS design.
- On-site build service — we build and install a CAVS unit at your property.
Preassembled kits shipped directly to customers are planned for a future date and are not currently available. Any references on this site to future offerings are informational only and do not constitute a present offer to sell.
2. Payment Terms
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
- Build plans and licensing: billed in full at the time of purchase, prior to delivery.
- On-site build service: requires a deposit to reserve your scheduled build date. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the build.
Submitting the reservation form on our website does not obligate you to pay anything; it simply reserves your place in line. We will contact you to confirm scope, pricing, and payment before any charge is made.
3. Cancellation Policy
For scheduled on-site builds:
- Cancellations made 72 hours or more before your scheduled build date receive a full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled date, or no-shows, forfeit the deposit.
- We're happy to offer one complimentary reschedule per order if you contact us with reasonable notice.
Licensing agreements may include their own cancellation terms, which will be provided in writing at the time of signing.
4. Refund Policy
- Build plans and licensing are digital products and are non-refundable once delivered.
- On-site build deposits are refundable according to the Cancellation Policy above.
- Once a build is completed and the balance is paid, that payment is final except where required by law.
As we begin shipping physical kits in the future, a separate return and replacement policy for shipped products will be published here.
5. Service Area
On-site build services and digital plan/licensing sales are currently available to customers located within the United States only. We do not currently ship or license outside the U.S.
6. On-Site Builds & Local Requirements
Customers are responsible for confirming and obtaining any permits, HOA approvals, or electrical/building code approvals required by their local jurisdiction prior to installation. GreenLight Gardens will provide guidance where possible but is not responsible for local regulatory compliance on the customer's behalf.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
